UNIVERSITY INSTITUTIONALISED CULTURE AND ENVIRONMENT LABORATORIES NETWORK

The Directors and Representatives of the following fifteen University Institutionalized Laboratories, wishing to strengthen their research cooperation and taking into account the current legislation, signed a Memorandum in the fields of Environment and Culture, according to which they will constitute the University Institutionalised Culture and Environment Laboratories Network. (UN.I.C.E.L.N.).

The reasons for establishing the Network are the promotion of research, technology, innovation and their applications in the fields of Environment and Culture, in accordance with the spirit and values of our cultural heritage and with the same mentality with which they had co-signed “MAGNA CHARTA” (= “The Great Map”) on 18th September 1988 in Bologna, Italy.

The Network will be coordinated by a Nine-Member Coordinating Committee (N.C.C.) with a two-year tenure, which will decide on the expansion of the Network and all its management issues. UN.I.C.E.L.N. will seek the submission of “flagship actions” with a specific topic, specific deliverables and connection with tourism and economy. These actions will unite the laboratories, so that they cope with social and economic needs by utilizing the research potential.

The Memorandum of Cooperation will come into force from the day that it is signed by the legal responsible persons of the Fifteen (15), and can be amended only with written and legally signed agreements of ΜUN.I.C.E.L.N.
